Professor Avishalom Tor publishes new edited book, 'Law and Economics of Regulation' | The Law School | University of Notre Dame - Notre Dame Law School

Tor Book 2021

Avishalom Tor, professor of law and director of the Research Program on Law and Market Behavior (ND LAMB) at Notre Dame Law School, along with Prof. Dr. Klaus Mathis, faculty of law at the University of Lucerne, have co-edited a new book, “Law and Economics of Regulation.”

The book explores current issues regarding the regulation of various economic sectors, and discusses both neoclassical and behavioral economics approaches to regulation. It provides readers with an in-depth look at the economic analysis of recent developments in law and policy in Europe and the United States. Part I discusses various theoretical approaches to the economic analysis of regulations, while Part II looks at specific applications of the law and economics of regulation.

“Law and Economics of Regulation” is the most recent volume in the book series, “Economic Analysis of Law in European Legal Scholarship.” Professor Tor has co-edited four of the 11 volumes after establishing the ongoing collaboration between ND LAMB and the University of Lucerne. Notre Dame Law Professor Bruce Huber has also co-edited two of the volumes in the series.

More information about the book can be found here.
